Goodbye to Internet Explorer

Microsoft is saying goodbye to Internet Explorer after 26 extended years of service. Microsoft announced it will end support for Internet Explorer from June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10.

The age old internet browser was launched with Windows 95. This Internet browser has been market leader with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. However, the truth told by technology experts is that Internet Explorer slowly losing its market share due to critical vulnerabilities from long time.

Microsoft explained the Internet Explorer is significantly less stable than modern browsers and most of all, doesn’t deliver a up-to-date surfing experience. In recent years we are still to determine exploit kits targeting vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer through malvertising campaigns.

Microsoft urges users to utilize Edge, a contemporary internet browser according to Google’s open source Chromium code, also works nicely on both mobile and desktop.

But Online Explorer-based websites and software will operate with Edge at least till 2029, Microsoft stated, since most businesses have websites dependent on the now-doomed browser.
