the Exciting New Features of Gemini That Will Change How You Trade Forever

Gemini has introduced four new features that cater to various user needs, including retail purchases, passive income, institutional trading, and secure storage.

Gemini Pay

Gemini Pay is a new service that enables users to spend their cryptocurrency holdings at any merchant that accepts Apple Pay or Google Pay. The service is free for both users and merchants, and it does away with the necessity of converting cryptocurrency to fiat currency prior to a purchase. Users can merely scan a QR code at the point of sale and finalize the transaction using their Gemini account.

Gemini Earn

Gemini Earn is an earn-interest program, which enables the users to lend their cryptocurrency positions to institutional lenders. The users can earn interest of up to 7.4% per annum APY on their asset, and daily interest is disbursed. It does not come with any kind of fee and the users have the option of withdrawing their balance at any given time. The video shows one how to switch on Gemini Earn and how one can track interest accrued on the account of the user.

Gemini Clearing

Gemini Clearing is a new over-the-counter (OTC) trading facility that enables users to place large trades without affecting the market price. The service is aimed at institutional traders and high-volume buyers. The video outlines how users can ask for a quote, negotiate conditions, and carry out trades through Gemini Clearing. The feature comes in handy for those traders seeking to preserve discretion and reduce market impact while placing large orders.

Gemini Custody

Gemini Custody is a safe storage platform for cryptocurrency holdings, catering to institutional investors and high-net-worth clients. This aspect provides military-grade protection, insurance, and regulatory support. The video emphasizes the significance of safe storage for cryptocurrency holdings and shows how users can establish and operate their custody accounts.

Apple  Vision Pro headset Updates

Apple has reportedly halted production of its first-generation Vision Pro headset due to weak demand and production challenges. Initially launched in 2024, the Vision Pro was Apple’s ambitious entry into the mixed-reality market, but it struggled to gain traction, primarily due to its high price of $3,499 and a limited content ecosystem. By November 2024, Apple instructed its assembler, Luxshare, to wind down production, having already reduced daily output to 1,000 units by October, a 50% decrease from peak levels.

The company has accumulated an inventory of 500,000 to 600,000 units, which is expected to satisfy demand through 2025. This strategic move aims to prevent surplus while addressing the tepid market response. Apple CEO Tim Cook described the Vision Pro as an “early-adopter product,” targeting tech enthusiasts rather than the mass market. However, even within this niche, demand has been lackluster, prompting Apple to reconsider its approach to mixed-reality technology.

In response, Apple is reportedly shifting its focus to developing a more affordable mixed-reality headset, with suppliers preparing for the production of up to four million units over its lifecycle, half of the original Vision Pro’s target. Meanwhile, development on the second-generation Vision Pro has been paused for at least a year. However, there are indications that Apple might release an incremental update to the first-generation model, featuring an upgraded M5 chip and enhanced intelligence features, potentially launching between late 2025 and early 2026.
