iPhone 16 Series Launch Event
- Apple launched the iPhone 16 series at its annual event held in San Francisco, titled “It’s GlowTime.”
- Alongside the iPhone 16 series, Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4, and AirPods Max.
- The event was globally streamed and took place at Apple Park with CEO Tim Cook presenting.

- iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus:
New A18 chip with enhanced Neural Engine for double the processing speed.
- Advanced memory subsystem with 17% more bandwidth.
- Features include a touch-sensitive camera and action button.
- Display sizes: iPhone 16 (6.1 inches) and iPhone 16 Plus (6.7 inches).
- Enhanced camera system: 48MP wide-angle and 12MP ultra-wide cameras at the back, 12MP front camera.
- Improved MagSafe charging speed from 15W to 25W.
- Prices: iPhone 16 starts at ₹79,900 (~$799), iPhone 16 Plus at ₹89,900 (~$899).
- iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max:
Display sizes: iPhone 16 Pro (6.3 inches) and iPhone 16 Pro Max (6.9 inches).
- Equipped with the A18 Pro chip, offering advanced media capabilities.
- Dual 48MP cameras at the back, including a Fusion Camera and an Ultra-Wide Angle Camera, plus a 12MP 5X telephoto lens.
- Supports 4K120 video recording and HDR recording.
- Prices: iPhone 16 Pro starts at ₹1,19,900 (~$999), iPhone 16 Pro Max at ₹1,44,900 (~$1,199).
Apple Watch Series 10:
- Features advanced wide-angle OLED displays, larger and thinner than previous models.
- Built with aluminum and polished titanium finishes.
- Includes technology to detect sleep apnea.
- Faster charging capability: 80% charge in 30 minutes.
- Prices: GPS model at $399, GPS + Cellular at $499, and Ultra 2 at $799.
AirPods Updates:
- AirPods 4 with Siri integration and 30-hour battery life.
- Supports Type-C and wireless charging.
- Prices: AirPods 4 at $129, Active Noise Cancellation model at $179.
- AirPods Max available in five new colors, supporting USB-C charging, priced at $599.
Availability:
- Pre-orders start on September 13, with availability from September 20.
Apple also announced that the new models would be priced lower in India compared to the previous iPhone 15 models.
