NFT holders can rent tokens

Brands can now avail the opportunity to hire a well-known virtual character to advertise their company

Blockchain-based company Mouse Belt Labs has launched Boredjobs the marketplace that lets you rent NFTs from its Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection, Cointelegraph reports . Based on the concept of the developers Boredjobs, companies can use the characters to promote their businesses.

Only the NFTs that are accessible for rent, and those who own them sign up on the platform and verify the ownership of the NFT. Mouse Belt co-founder Patrick McLane claimed that within the first hour following the launch the site had accepted more than 200 registration requests by BAYC owners.

When asked how the tokens could be utilized by tenants McLane explained that a small business could create a virtual face of their brand and larger companies can utilize the tokens in marketing campaigns.

McLain has also stated McLain also mentioned that Mouse Belt will continue to help other NFT projects like Mutant Apes and Crypto Punks in the near future. Hollywood actor Seth Green uses his character from the BAYC collection as the main character in a television show. In March the token was taken in April. Green was required to pay the sum of 165 ETH (about $300,000) in order to receive the NFT returned.

Facebook is testing its NFT tab with select US creators

Facebook has started testing a new tab for digital collectibles for select creators in the US. Creators will have the ability to display their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to their followers on the timeline. Meta Technical program director Navdeep Singh posted images from the online collectibles’ support on Twitter. Based on the images, the clicks upon NFT posts will display information about the digital collectible, including its name, as well as the creator of the collection.

This is after Meta Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is looking into options to let users develop, showcase, and sell their NFTs through Facebook and Instagram. Facebook will be integrating the Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Flow blockchain networks to enable this. Users must add their crypto wallets like Metamask and verify their NFT ownership before they can display it on the platform.

The introduction of NFTs on Facebook is expected to be gradual, starting with select creators from the United States. “Eventually, NFT creators will be able to cross-post on Facebook and Instagram, a different Meta property. Instagram is testing NFTs within their Spark AR augmented reality platform,” a Meta spokesperson said to Techcrunch.

Most importantly, Instagram leader Adam Mosseri declared in December last year that the social media platform had been “actively exploring” NFTs. In the Instagram Q&A posted to the Stories section, Mosseri replied to an audience member’s question regarding his thoughts about integrating NFTs into Instagram.

He replied, “Nothing to announce yet, but we are definitely actively exploring NFTs and how we can make them more accessible to a broader audience.” Before this, Zuckerberg also spoke in October on how the metaverse must support “ownership of digital goods or NFTs.”
